iLL-LEGAL RECORDS ARTIST SPOTLIGHT:
James Barravecchio, better known as Gravity WiseWords, also known as Gravioli is 25 years old and has been writing, recording, mixing and performing his own music for more than ten years now. Over these years, Gravity has put out close to ten cd’s, in which he does all of the mixing and recording from his own home studio. Dabbling predominantly in the Hip Hop genre, he also has made R&B, Rock, Reggae and Dance music.
As Gravity was growing up an only child, he moved around Long Island, NY quite frequently. This prohibited him from having many close friends, while encouraging him to write music to cope with being alone so often. His interest and confidence in making his own music developed greater as he grew older. It was at about 13 years old that he realized that being a famous musician was going to be his main goal in life. Gravity released his first album, “Gravitational Force” at the very young age of 14, allowing him to become the local fresh celebrity in his current city. The buzz he was creating provided him the opportunity to book shows at nearby restaurants, bars and clubs. To this day, Gravity has performed hundreds of shows all over the Metropolitan New York area.
Gravioli is the character Gravity invented with the cd he put out called “The Knuckle Babies”. This album is full of playful, yet “scummy” lyrics, which appeal to most of all ages and audiences. The hype that surrounded all things being “scummy”, lead to the completion of his website, www.scumbagradio.com and his most recent mix tape, named Scumbagradio Vol.1. As well as increasing his fan base to an even greater amount worldwide.
Scumbagradio.com has over 150 of Gravity’s songs posted up for his fans’ listening or downloading pleasure. His site has had in excess of 157,000 plays and more than 68,000 page views. Complete with pictures, videos and links to Gravity’s other forms of contact and following.
